Peace Christian Education Ministry

Our Mission for Christian Education

To create lifelong disciples of Christ

  • By providing instruction in the Word of God

Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Ephesians 2:8: By grace you have been saved, through faith – And this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God.

  • By modeling the attitudes and behaviors of Jesus
  • John 1:17: Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 13:34: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must
    love one another.
Colossians 3:13:  Forgive whatever grievances you may have against one
another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

  • By praying for the Lord's guidance
  • Luke 22:42: “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not
my will, but yours be done.”
Matthew 6:9-13: This, then is how you should pray:  Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in
heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.  Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

  • By applying what we learn into our daily lives
  • Ephesians 5:1-2:  Be imitators of God…and live a life of love, just as
    Christ loved us…

James 1:22:   Do not merely listen to the word…Do what it says.
Titus 3:1: Be ready to do whatever is good.

  • By nurturing spiritual growth
  • 1 Timothy 4:12: Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.

  • By passing on the faith to others

Matthew 28:19-20: Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

  • By fullfilling the promises made through our baptism
    1. To live among God’s faithful people
    2. To hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s Supper
    3. To proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed
    4. To serve all people, following the example of Jesus
    5. To strive for justice and peace in all the earth.
